Police fire at Teknaf Baharchara Shamlapur ABPN check post in Cox’s Bazar Major (Retd) Sinha said.Teknaf Police Station OC Pradeep Kumar Das’s bodyguard Constable Rubel Sharma has been remanded for another five days by the court.Judge Tamanna Farah of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court No. 4 (Teknaf) granted Rubel Sharma another five-day remand around 12:15 pm on Wednesday (October 26).The investigation officer of the case senior assistant superintendent of RAB-15.The remand has been granted to Rubel Sharma in the second phase on the application of Khairul Islam.The investigating officer remanded him for eight days.Khairul Islam assistant police officer of RAB-15, confirmed the information.He said Rubel Sharma had earlier been remanded for seven days. A lot of important information about the Sinha murder case was obtained from him in remand.But he needs more remand to get more information. So re-remand is applied. The court granted him another five-day remand in the second phase.According to sources, OC Pradeep bodyguard constable Rubel Sharma was the last of the 14 accused in the Sinha murder case. He was arrested on September 14 and sent to jail.It is alleged that former constable Rubel Sharma was one of the accomplices of former Teknaf Police Station OC Pradeep Kumar Das.
On September 30, the investigation officer of the case, RAB-15 Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police. Judge Tamanna Farah Rubel Sharma of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court No.4 (Teknaf) granted a seven-day remand in response to Khairul Islam’s 10-day remand application.He was remanded in custody on October 2.It may be mentioned that on the night of July 31, Major (Retd.) Sinha Md Rashid Khan was shot dead by the police at the APBN check post in Baharchara Shamlapur area of Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive road. Sinha Md Rashed Khan Major (Retd.) Sinha elder sister Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous, who was killed in the incident on August 5, filed the murder case against OC Pradeep Kumar Das and nine others.Later,seven more people, including three police sources, were added as accused.
